The top two teams in the MLS Western Division meet Friday night in the first game after the Orlando tournament as first place Sporting KC travel to second place Minnesota United. 

These teams met in a thrilling group game last month in Orlando with Minnesota United erasing a 1-0 deficit with two goals in stoppage time to win 2-1 after Sporting KC goalie Tim Melia was sent off. Friday night’s game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET at Allianz Field in St. Paul on ESPN+.

Philadelphia 76ers star guard Ben Simmons will leave the NBA bubble at Walt Disney World in Orlando to have surgery on his injured knee. 

Simmons went to the locker room on the August 5th game against the Wizards midway through the third quarter because of an injury that was diagnosed as a subluxation of the left knee cap.

The Sixers sent the following statement:

“After consultation with the 76ers medical staff and several specialists, Ben Simmons will undergo surgery in the coming days to remove a loose body in his left knee.”

The 76ers are in sixth place in the Eastern Conference and they would likely face the Celtics in the first round of the playoffs.
